# Sensor Installation

## Information

These are the instructions for installing a 6X Series Sensor onto a Freefly Alta X Gen2.

### Install the Light Sensor Into the Mounting Tray 

Orient the Light Sensor as shown below. The USB-C Port on the light sensor will face towards the back of the drone.

### Connect the USB-C Cable to the Light Sensor

Connect the USB-C Cable to the USB-C port on the Light Sensor.&#x20;

Ensure the USB-C port is facing the back of the aircraft.&#x20;

Then secure the cable in the cable clip.&#x20;

### Route the Cable Over Both Mounting Bars

Route the cable from the cable clip over both mounting bars.&#x20;

### Install the 6X Gimbal in Smart Dovetail Receiver&#x20;

Insert the 6X Gimbal into the Smart Dovetail Receiver, then secure the Smart Dovetail Latch

### Connect the USB-C Cable to the 6X Gimbal

Connect the USB-C Cable to the USB-C port on the 6X Gimbal

### Power the Aircraft On&#x20;

Power on the aircraft and wait for the Sensor to boot.
