# Start here

Get set up in FieldAgent Web, from the welcome email to your first order.

Get set up in FieldAgent Web, from the welcome email to your first order. Work through these steps the first time you use FieldAgent Web, before your first flight.

{% hint style="info" icon="lightbulb" %}
Want to look around first? Click through the view-only demo in the [Tour of FieldAgent Web](/home/fieldagent-web/get-started/tour-of-fieldagent-web.md).
{% endhint %}

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Activate your account and sign in

Find the "Welcome to FieldAgent" email from Sentera Customer Support and [activate your account](/home/fieldagent-web/get-started/sign-in-and-account-menu.md#activate-your-account) from it. Then sign in to [FieldAgent Web](https://fieldagent.sentera.com) in Google Chrome.

If you belong to [more than one organization](/home/fieldagent-web/account-and-organizations/organizations-and-shared-fields.md), choose the one you're working in from **Select Organization**.

No email? Contact [Sentera support](#get-help).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Set your language and units

Click **Account** in the navigation bar. Under **User Preferences**, choose your language and pick US/Imperial or Metric in **Select Unit System**. The unit system sets how FieldAgent Web shows areas, distances and rates.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Connect John Deere Operations Center

If your fields are in Operations Center, connect it before you add fields. You can then import them instead of drawing them, and send map layers back to Operations Center later.

On the **Account** page, click **MANAGE CONNECTIONS** and follow the [connection steps](/home/fieldagent-web/integrations/john-deere-operations-center.md). You'll need the username and password of a John Deere account with access to the fields you want to import.

Use Climate FieldView instead? [Connect Climate FieldView](/home/fieldagent-web/integrations/connect-with-climate-fieldview.md) from the same place.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Add your fields

Open **Fields** and click the plus icon <img src="https://2791052504-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FVt6flh3S4tohPAjrSP91%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-93fc4d9f6268e89a5a848974a80ca6a3ffd199a5%2Ffa-web-icon-add.svg?alt=media" alt="add icon" data-size="line">. [Draw the boundary](/home/fieldagent-web/fields/create-a-field.md) on the map, or pick fields from Operations Center or Climate FieldView in the **Partner Fields** list.

Add each field before you fly it, so the imagery and results land in the right place.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Decide what to order

The product you order sets how you fly the field, so decide before the flight. Check these first:

* Every plan includes the mosaics, but Scout, Advisor and Advanced include [different analytics](https://sentera.com/fieldagent/#FieldAgentPkgsTable).
* Each product accepts only [certain cameras](https://catalog.sentera.com/products), from Sentera, DJI and others.
* Analytics such as a stand count need separate sample photos taken low, 50 ft (16 m) for most DJI cameras. Mosaics need overlapping photos, usually from 400 ft (120 m). One kind of flight can't be used for the other. Find the full flight specification for each product in the [product catalog](https://catalog.sentera.com/products).
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Fly, import and order

Fly with your drone's own flight software. Afterward, [import the imagery](/home/fieldagent-web/imagery/import-imagery-in-fieldagent-web.md) to the field, then [order a mosaic](/home/fieldagent-web/ordering/order-a-mosaic.md) or [order analytics](/home/fieldagent-web/ordering/order-analytics.md) from the survey.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://support.senterasensors.com/home/fieldagent-web/get-started/start-here.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
