# Emlid Reach RS2/2+

The Emlid Reach RS2 is a capable 3rd party base station that enables RTK and PPK workflows. It is not a required component for the RTK-PPK module.&#x20;

### Configure Output Settings

Once your are connected to the Base Station in the Emlid Flow App, open the Base Output setting menu

Click Serial to select it as the Base Output type. Then click the pencil icon to edit the serial settings

Click USB OTG to select it as the Serial Type.

Click Baud Rate to edit it.&#x20;

### Configure Settings

Once your are connected to the Base Station in the Emlid Flow App, open the settings menu.&#x20;

Click on GNSS Settings.

Verify that GNSS update rate is set to 5Hz.

Return to the home page and click on logging.

Click Recorded Logs and Settings.&#x20;

Click the blue gear icon.&#x20;

Verify the Format is set to RINEX 3.03.

Scroll down to Common Settings and enable the Autostart feature.&#x20;

Click Apply, and your RS2 will now automatically start logging PPK data when powered.

### Mount The RS2

Mount the RS2 base station to a survey pole or tripod.&#x20;

### Connect Ground Radio (RTK ONLY)

Connect the Sentera ground radio to the RS2 using a USB-C to USB-C Cable.&#x20;

### Place The Radio (RTK ONLY)

Place the Sentera ground radio such that the antenna is pointed towards the sky.&#x20;

The Sentera ground radio has an integrated magnet and a 1/4"-20 thread mount that can be utilized for mounting as the end user sees fit.&#x20;

### Verify the Antenna is Mounted on the Drone (RTK ONLY)
