Radiometric Corrections with Pix4D Mapper

Pix4D Mapper is only recommended for users with Type 4 Panels. Other panel types can be automatically processed in Pix4D Fields. Support for Type 4 panels is coming soon to Pix4D Fields.

Radiometric Corrections are performed in Pix4d Mapper by manually outlining the Reflectance Panel and inputting the Reflectance Factor value for each spectral band. Click the link below to view Pix4D's support documentation.

How to Perform Radiometric Corrections with Pix4D Mapper

Reflectance Factors by Sensor

Ensure that you use the Reflectance Factor values corresponding to your panel type and sensor. Select your sensor below to view the Reflectance Factor values for each panel type.

Instructions

1

Processing Options

On the menu bar click Process > Processing Options..., the pop-up Processing Options appears.

2

Index Calculator

Click 3. DSM, Orthomosaic and Index and select the tab Index Calculator.

3

Begin Calibration

In the section Radiometric Processing and Calibration, the different available discrete bands are displayed. Under each band, click Calibrate...

4

Select Panel Image

Click Browse... to import the corresponding image of the calibration target for the selected band.

Draw a region on the image that will define the radiometric calibration area, the region should be well inside the gray target and exclude all borders.

Insert the Reflectance Factor value for the selected band.

Click OK. The camera is now calibrated for this band.

5

Repeat for each band

Repeat the same procedure for each of the discrete band, click OK and run the project.
