Learn how to calibration your Sentera RTK Base Station using a Trimble DA2.
I want to calibrate my Sentera RTK Base Station using a Trimble DA2 so that my flight data is referenced with Trimble RTK corrections.
You must allow Local Network permissions when prompted.
You must have Trimble Mobile Manager and your DA2 configured.
You must have an ethernet adapter for your Apple mobile device.
The base station must have a plumb bob attached to it by a 1m length of paracord.
You must have a Sentera RTK Base station with this part number:
31032-01 (kits: 21256-00, 21260-00)
When you first connect to the base station, you must configure the appropriate network settings on your Apple mobile device.
Your Apple mobile device will remember these settings.
This procedure only needs to be performed once.
You can find the instructions from the dashboard after selecting your base station.
Follow the in-app instructions to configure your network settings.
The exact settings are specific to the base station you have.
From the Home Screen:
Tap on the Menu button at the top left of the screen.
Tap on the Dashboard menu item.
Under Utilities, tap on Sentera Base Station.
Select your base station model.
Place the DA2 over the ground point where you will position the base station.
(You may be using a survey stake that was buried into the ground)
Wait for the app to report 0.01 m
accuracy and for the Current Location to display a green status.
Tap Save Location.
The app will cache the location you saved and write any cached location the next time you connect to a base station.
You can now turn on the base station and connect it with the ethernet adapter.
You can verify that the base station was successfully calibrated by observing the green check mark next to Calibration Status.
If you have problems connecting to the base station, review this guide.
