Module Installation for 6X

Cable Clip (First Time Installation ONLY)

Clean Mounting Location

Use the alcohol wipe provided with the RTK-PPK kit to prepare the surface of the drone. Clean the area next to the strobe light. This should be done on the side of the aircraft that has the coax pass through port as shown.

Install Clip

After the alcohol has dried, install the cable clip provided in the RTK-PPK module kit on the the side of the IF800. The clip should be installed on the side of the aircraft that has the coax pass through port as shown.

Peel the backing off the cable clip and firmly place it on the drone. Apply pressure for several seconds.

Position the cable clip to allow a cable to run vertically from the top of the drone down towards the leg.

Identify Mounting Points on the Aircraft

Identify the two slots and one threaded hole as shown below

Identify Mounting Points on the Module Mount

Identify the two tabs and one threaded hole as shown below.

Attach the Module Mount

Line up the mounting points and slide the mounting plate tabs into the slots on the aircraft.

Secure the Mounting Plate

Screw in the bolt to attach the mounting plate to the aircraft.

Attach ILS

Slide in the ILS on the right side of the mounting plate.

Attach RTK-PPK Module

Ensure the Forward arrow on the RTK-PPK Module is facing the front of the drone. Attach the USB cable to the Module. Then attach the Module to the mounting plate and tighten the screws.

Connect Module to ILS

Plug the USB cable from the module to the ILS.

Attach Cable Clip and Cable.

Add the cable clip the the leg of the aircraft.

Plug in the USB-C to USB-C cable into the side of the RTK PPK module, then plug in the USB-C to the port on the top of the gimbal.

Make sure to use the top port on the gimbal when connecting the USB-C cable.

6X Series Sensors have an additional USB-C port on the side of the sensor. Do not use the side port on a 6X Series Sensor.

Secure Cable

Place the cable into the cable clip and secure with ties.

Connect Coax Cable (NON-NTRIP RTK ONLY)

This step is only required when operating when the Sentera Ground Radio is used to provide the corrections data. For example when using a base station or laptop for the corrections source.

Plug in the coax cable into the side of the RTK PPK module. Plug the other end into the port of the side of the drone.

Connect Antenna (NON-NTRIP RTK ONLY)

This step is only required when operating when the Sentera Ground Radio is used to provide the corrections data. For example when using a base station or laptop for the corrections source.

Remove the threaded cap from the connector on the aft underside of the aircraft.

Screw on the antenna to the underside of the drone. Once it has been secured, point it straight down.
