This guide will assume that the setup steps for the Emlid RS2 Base Station have already been completed:

Assemble Aircraft

Assemble the aircraft per manufacturer instruction.

Install Sensor

Install the sensor per manufacturer instruction.

Install Module

Install the module per the manufacturer instruction.

RTK-PPK Module Installation

Connect Antenna to Aircraft and Module

Install the Antenna per the manufacturer instruction

Setup & Power On RS2 Base Station

Assemble the RS2 base station per manufacturer instruction.

Verify base station fix type being used:

• Self-Survey for Relative Accuracy.

• Known location or built in NTRIP for Global Accuracy.

Connect Sentera Ground Radio to RS2

Connect the ground radio to the RS2 using a USB-C to USB-C cable.

Power Up Aircraft

Power the aircraft on per manufacturer instruction.

Verify Session Start & Fix Type

Wait for the sensor to boot and start a session. The session start on the sensor is indicated by the LEDs on the sensor being solid green.

Verify the GPS fix type using either external LED on the module or the sensor webpage via the hand controller.

Fly

Fly your mission.

Offload Data

Offload the data when data collection is complete.

Process Data

The images will be tagged at the time of capture with the RTK GPS information and are ready for processing.
